Daniel Scafidi Greater Nevada Athlete Award - Available to students from Washoe, Nevada, who participate in athletics. $1,000

Arnold/Jones/Evan Scholarship - For children of active or retired members of any local union affiliated with the Nevada State AFL-CIO. $3,000

Jo Marshall Memorial Scholarship - For female residents of Nevada, who are registered Republicans. Candidates must be sponsored by Nevada Federation of Republican Women (NvrFRW) Club and have their application signed by the President and First Vice President of the sponsoring organization. $1,000 ($500)

Horatio Alger Nevada Scholarship Program - For residents of the state of Nevada, who have displayed exceptional perseverance in overcoming adversity. $35,000 (Paid in five installments of $7,000 each) Number of Scholarships Awarded: Six

Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship - For those enrolled in a course of study which will lead to licensure in elementary or secondary education and who are committed to teaching in Nevada upon graduation.

Fit for College Great Books Scholarship - For students who graduated from a high school in the state of Nevada or maintain residency in the state. Students must be pursuing a program which studies the Great books.  $1,000

University of Nevada-Las Vegas - Hughes Valedictorian Scholarship - For students who graduated valedictorian from an accredited Nevada high school.  $2,500

Susanann Sky Holmes Scholarship Award - For undergraduate or graduate students attending the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, majoring in Urban, Outdoor, Therapeutic, or Commercial Recreation.  $750

Phyllis Frias Science Scholarship - For University of Nevada-Las Vegas students pursuing a degree in science. $2,500

Bluecoats, Inc. Scholarship - For dependents of active or retired Clark County, NV firefighters, police officers, or highway patrol members.  $2,500 (Renewable)

Graham Erskine Memorial Scholarship - This scholarship is available to residents of certain Nevada counties who are enrolled in a five or six-year professional degree at a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) School of Architecture. $2,000

Graham Erskine Memorial Scholarship - For residents of certain Nevada counties who are enrolled in a five or six-year professional degree at Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) Department of Architecture.

Endowed Fund Scholarship - For undergraduate students enrolled in the William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration who intend to join the hospitality industry of Southern Nevada.

Earl and Hazel Wilson Scholarship - For first-generation college freshmen attending the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.  $2,500

Kenneth M. Devos Scholarship - For undergraduate students attending the University of Nevada-Las Vegas who are minorities.  $2,500

Marie B. Woodrich Scholarship - For students who attend the University of Nevada - Las Vegas. $2,500

President’s Scholar Award - For students who will attend the University of Nevada-Reno. $20,000 ($5,000 per year for four years)

Station Casinos Scholarship - For students who are dependents of Station Casinos’ employees attending the University of Las-Vegas Nevada. $2,000

Nevada Energy Powerful Partners Scholarship - For students located in NV Energy’s service territory. Eligible candidates must have completed at least 20 hours of community service. $1,000

Eugene and Nadine Stegelmeyer Scholarship - This scholarship is available to students from Washoe County High school who are interested in pursuing a post-graduate degree in teaching or geriatric. $500

Claudine Williams Harrah’s Las Vegas Employment Scholarship - Dependents of a full-time employee of Harrah’s Casino in Las Vegas. Employees must have three years of tenure at the time the application is submitted.

Zonta Club of Reno Re-Entry Scholarship - For female students of Truckee Meadows Community College, who are enrolled in the school’s re-entry center.

Zonta Club of Greater Reno Young Women in Public Service Award - Female applicants ages 16-19 who are active in community service. Candidates should have experience in local or student government and be able to demonstrate volunteer leadership experience.

Peggy Bowker Memorial Scholarship for Women in Engineering - For female students of the University of Nevada-Reno pursuing a degree in Engineering.

Orville Belding Memorial Scholarship - For residents of Washoe, Nevada. Candidates must have been born and raised in Nevada. $1,000

John R. Stockman Scholarship - For students who reside in certain Nevada counties. $5,000

Phil and Jennifer Satre Harrah’s Entertainment Scholarship - Available to students who have a family member who has been an employee of Caesars Entertainment Property for a minimum of three years. $5,000

Ron and Linda Smith Family Scholarship - Available to degree – seeking students attending Truckee Meadows Community College, Western Nevada College, or Great Basin College. $1,000

Otto Huth Scholarship - Foster children. Up to $40,000.

Nevada Chapter - Michael Koizumi APWA Scholarship - This scholarship is available to degree-seeking students pursuing careers in the fields of public works, public administration, or related private enterprises. $1,500 Number of Scholarships Awarded: 2

Nevada Women’s Fund Scholarships - This scholarship is available to female residents of northern Nevada. From $500 to $5,000

Bruce Fishkin Scholarship - Scholarship is open to students entering their senior year of high school in the fall of 2018 who are residents or attend high school in one of the following areas: Chicago, Illinois or the counties of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry or Will, Illinois; Las Vegas, Nevada and suburbs of the area, or Fairfield, Greens Farms, Redding or Westport, Connecticut.

AANAPISI Scholarship Program - Amount: Up to $5,000 - Scholarship is open to students who will be enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program.

Alpine Recovery Lodge Bi-Annual Scholarship Essay Contest - Amount: $1,000 - Scholarship is open to high school seniors and current undergraduate and graduate students.

Robert E. Thunen Memorial Scholarship - Amount: $2,500 - Scholarship is open to full-time students who desire to study illumination as a career. Applicant must be a junior, senior or graduate student in an accredited four-year college or university located in Northern California, Nevada, Oregon or Washington.

NSFA Scholarship - Amount: Up to $1,250 - Scholarship is open to high school seniors who are sons, daughters, stepsons, stepdaughters or dependents of a Nevada State Firefighter’ Association member.

Celebrate the West High School Art Competition - Amount: Up to $1,200 - Competition is open to high school students (grades 9-12) in public, private, charter, and alternative schools. Home-schooled students in that age group also may enter. Student must be in a school in a WGA member state.
