The Alice Barton Scholarship Program - The Alice Barton Scholarship Program works to empower survivors of domestic violence through annual scholarships for education and job training. The money may be used to pay for tuition, books, and fees for classes, and a portion may be used to pay other expenses which support the survivor’s education and job training efforts, such as child care or transportation.They will award 20 scholarships of $1,000 each to be used in 2017

The Connecticut Domestic Violence 2017 Legislation Reform Scholarship - This scholarship is offered to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. Students who are incoming first-year college students who are high school graduates or possess a GED can also apply.This scholarship will award $500 to a student dedicated to their education.

TheWomen’s Independence Scholarship Program (WISP) - The Women’s Independence Scholarship Program, Inc. began as a program of The Sunshine Lady Foundation (SLF) in 1999 and for 8 years provided scholarships to women survivors of intimate partner abuse who were changing their lives through education. The program is as support to full or part-time students interested in attending accredited programs at educational institutions. There is no deadline for applications; however, it takes us about two months to review new submissions.

The Law Student Scholarship is open to students enrolled in any JD law program in the United States.

The Break the Silence Against Domestic Violence Scholarships - Break the Silence against Domestic Violence recognizes and honors our angels who have lost their lives to domestic violence. To eligible, high school scholars must 3.0 GPA encouraged and planning to attend a 2-year and Community College or 4-year university. This scholarship is open to all college students currently pursuing their education: Master’s Programs, Undergrad, and Vocational/Trade School.College Scholars must 3.0 GPA encouraged.

The Laubacher Law Firm Domestic Violence Scholarship - The LaubacherLaw& Co. is now offering the Domestic Violence Law Firm Scholarship to students who are the resident of Ohio. The program is available to high school or graduate school students who are currently attending an accredited university or graduate school/high school with a cumulative minimum 3.0 GPA.Laubacher& Co. Domestic Violence Scholarship to raise awareness of domestic violence issues and how education is a key to ending abuse.

The Arellano Scholarship for Survivor of Domestic Violence - This scholarship is offering by Arizona State University donor Arnold Arellano. The scholarship’s purpose is to provide funding to survivors of domestic violence. The scholarship is meant for any undergraduate domestic violence survivor who needs assistance with tuition. The amount of the award is commensurate with the student’s need.The priority deadline is March 1st of each year.

The Deanna’s Voice Breaking Barriers Scholarship - At Deanna’s Voice, this scholarship is not only for women or individuals who have personally experienced intimate partner abuse. The program is open to A full/part time student who are attending Public/private College/University, Technical/Vocational Schools, and State/City Sponsored Community Colleges. As such, they invite those who have never personally experienced domestic violence but have a desire to see it destroyed to also apply.Scholars will be awarded a scholarship for $1,000/ea based on the strength of their whole application, including the essay.

The Live Your Dreams Scholarship - The Soroptimist Organization is glad to announce Live your Dreams Scholarship.  Applicant must be enrolled in or has been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program. Both U.S. and International citizens can apply.Applications for the 2017 awards will be accepted between July 1, 2017, and November 15, 2017. Each year about $1.7 million is awarded through the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Awards program. Most regions grant additional $3,000 awards. The first-place recipients then become eligible for one of three $10,000 finalist awards.

Arizona State University has put forward an amazing scholarship named as Arellano Scholarship for Survivors of Domestic Violence. Both Arizona resident and Non-Arizona resident with 3.00 GPA are eligible to apply.


Women's Independence Scholarship Program in Wilmington, North Carolina, has received a $30 million gift from Maryland philanthropist Doris Buffett for scholarships that help women go back to school after leaving abusive partners. Established in 1999 as a program of Buffett's Sunshine Lady Foundation, WISP will use the gift to establish its own foundation and continue its work for another ten years. Women who are domestic violence survivors can apply through WISP for scholarships to cover the cost of tuition, books, school fees, and related expenses such as child care and transportation. To date, the scholarships have helped nine hundred women nationwide graduate from school.
